Schuhuu is an Austrian Telecoms company that uses their business for good. By dedicating a large percentage of their income to charitable causes, and by allowing the customers to choose the cause each month, they empower their customers to use their phone bill make the world a better place.

Their story.

Schuhuu was a social enterprise startup when they approached Good Will Studios, they had a bold idea, a plan to make it happen, and a need to create professional looking brand identity to win additional funding rounds and inspire confidence in early adopters as they approached enter to this competitive market place.

The objective.

Early on, we identified the target audience as young students who wanted a great mobile phone service, who would be pleased to have an easy way to contribute to a great cause through their monthly phone contracts. As such, we set out to develop a fun and youthful visual identity with a personality that matched the ambition of this social enterprise.

The brand name [Schuhuu] is the German word for the sound an owl makes, so it was a natural starting point for the logo. By combining the 3 key elements - an owl, a message icon, and a mobile phone - we created a unique logo to act as the primary icon and give this brand character.

The outcomes.

Understanding the objectives, the desired Brand Voice, and target demographic we designed a visual identity for Schuhuu, including a quirky and memorable logo that worked as a stand-alone icon in the various digital and print mediums required to promote the new brand.

Alongside the logo design pack, colour scheme, typefaces and brand guidelines, a selection of Schuhuu owl emojis were created to give us more flexibility and to allow the customers to express themselves through the brand.
