Honouring Our Fallen Police Officers

Brand strategy, logo design, visual identity design, UX Design

The UK Police Memorial is a project of the Police Arboretum Memorial Trust.

The Police Arboretum Memorial Trust, a registered charity (Number 1159831), raised over £5.5 million to design, build and maintain a new UK Police Memorial, at the National Memorial Arboretum. Situated in Staffordshire on the edge of the National Forest, the Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of remembrance.

The UK Police Memorial exists to honour and remember the lives of UK Police Officers.

My role as Creative Director was to develop a respectful brand identity system for the UK Police Memorial and lead the creative design of the online Digital Memorial platform.

Working closely with a partner agency I led the visual direction and design style with concepts and visual assets and guidelines to work from, developing creative briefs around this.

The UK Police Memorial mood board

The UK Police Memorial mood board created to set the visual language of for the wider project.

The Result.

The result was a successful launch of both digital and physical memorials with the UK Police Memorial being dedicated at the National Memorial Arboretum on 28th July 2021 in the presence of HRH the Prince of Wales, the Prime Minister and other politicians, the relatives, friends and colleagues of those who have given their lives to policing, chief constables, policing charities and representatives from across the policing family.

The Memorial will be a place where the nation can honour those from our police service who have been killed on duty, but will also be a place where family, friends and colleagues can carry out personal acts of remembrance.
